Job Description
Junior Legal Counsel — Vietcombank, Ho Chi Minh City Branch
Vietcombank is hiring a Junior Legal Counsel for its Ho Chi Minh City Branch to support the legal department in reviewing loan documentation, security instruments, and regulatory filings. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a young lawyer seeking to build a career in banking law.
The role involves close collaboration with the credit department and provides a strong foundation in secured lending and banking compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft loan agreements, mortgage contracts, and guarantee documents
- Register security interests with the National Registration Agency for Secured Transactions (NRAST)
- Support due diligence on borrowers and collateral for lending transactions
- Ensure loan documentation complies with SBV lending regulations and internal policies
- Assist with legal opinions and certificates required for credit approvals
- Maintain the branch's legal document filing and tracking system
Requirements
- 1-3 years' PQE or recently completed Tập sự (trainee) programme
- Cử nhân Luật from a recognised university
- Basic knowledge of Civil Code 2015, Land Law 2024, and Law on Credit Institutions 2024
- Understanding of mortgage registration procedures and security enforcement
- Fluent Vietnamese; intermediate English
- Detail-oriented with strong document review skills
