Dialog Axiata PLC is recruiting a Junior Legal Executive for its Commercial Contracts team at Dialog HQ, Colombo 2. This entry-level position is ideal for a recently admitted Attorney-at-Law seeking to build a corporate legal career in Sri Lanka's dynamic telecommunications sector.
The Junior Legal Executive will review and draft commercial contracts, vendor agreements, technology procurement documentation, and service-level agreements. Working within Dialog's in-house legal team, you will gain broad exposure to corporate commercial practice, telecommunications regulation, and the fast-paced digital economy landscape of Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and procurement documentation
- Maintain the contract management system and ensure timely renewals
- Assist with regulatory filings and compliance documentation
- Support due diligence for new vendor onboarding and partnership arrangements
- Research legal issues related to telecommunications and digital services
- Coordinate with business units on contract queries and legal advisory requests
Requirements
- Attorney-at-Law admitted by BASL with 0–2 years' post-admission experience
- Basic knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007
- Interest in telecommunications, technology, and digital commerce
- Strong English drafting skills and attention to detail
- LL.B. from a recognised Sri Lankan university or Sri Lanka Law College
- Familiarity with IT procurement and vendor management is an advantage
- Proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable in a corporate environment
