Job Description

Junior Litigation Lawyer — Cabinet Ksentini Avocats

Cabinet Ksentini Avocats, a leading litigation firm in Algiers, is seeking a motivated Junior Litigation Lawyer (Avocat stagiaire or recently admitted Avocat) to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young lawyer to develop courtroom skills and build expertise across multiple areas of Algerian law.

Responsabilités

  • Assist senior avocats in preparing cases for hearings before Tribunaux de première instance, Cours d'appel, and the Cour suprême
  • Draft legal briefs (mémoires), motions, and pleadings in French and Arabic
  • Conduct legal research on Algerian statutory law, jurisprudence, and doctrine
  • Attend court hearings and follow case progress (suivi du contentieux)
  • Manage case files and liaise with clients, court registries (greffes), and huissiers de justice
  • Assist with commercial disputes, real estate litigation, and administrative law cases

Requirements

Licence or Master in Law from an accredited Algerian university (Université d'Alger, USTHB, etc.). CAPA certificate (Certificat d'Aptitude à la Profession d'Avocat) or currently completing stage. Admission or pending admission to the Barreau d'Alger. Strong legal research and writing skills in Arabic and French. Eagerness to work in a fast-paced litigation environment. Knowledge of civil procedure (Code de procédure civile et administrative). Good organizational and time management skills.
