Job Description

Webb, Low & Barry, one of Zimbabwe's oldest law firms (est. 1897), seeks a Labour Law Associate for our Bulawayo office. The role involves representing employers and employees in labour disputes, drafting employment contracts, and advising on compliance with the Labour Act and related regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients at the Labour Court and arbitration hearings
  • Draft employment contracts, disciplinary codes, and workplace policies
  • Advise on retrenchment procedures and collective bargaining agreements
  • Handle unfair dismissal and workplace dispute resolution matters
  • Conduct workplace training on employment law compliance

Requirements

  • LLB from a recognized university
  • Registered Legal Practitioner with LSZ
  • 2-4 years experience in labour and employment law
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of NEC (National Employment Council) procedures
