Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial

Umicore is seeking a Legal Counsel based at its Hoboken site in Antwerp, home to the company's precious metals refining and recycling operations. You will provide legal support on corporate governance under the Belgian CSA/WVV, commercial contract management, and supply chain legal matters.

What You Will Do

• Advise on corporate governance matters under the Belgian Code of Companies and Associations (CSA/WVV)
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, supply agreements, and joint venture documentation
• Advise on international trade compliance including EU export controls and sanctions
• Support M&A transactions and corporate restructuring projects
• Manage external counsel relationships and legal spend

• Provide corporate and commercial legal advisory to the Recycling business unit
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
• Advise on corporate governance and board matters
• Support business development with legal due diligence
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters

• Belgian Bar admission or equivalent legal qualification
• Master in Law from a Belgian university
• 3-5 years of corporate and commercial law experience
• Knowledge of the Belgian CSA/WVV and international commercial contract practice
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is desirable
• Experience in materials technology, mining, or manufacturing sector is an advantage
