Job Description
Societe Generale, one of France's top three banks based in the La Defense business district, seeks a Legal Counsel to join its Derivatives and Structured Products legal team. You will advise on ISDA master agreements, structured product documentation, and regulatory compliance for the bank's global markets division.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, and GMRA documentation
- Advise on structured product documentation and exotic derivatives
- Ensure compliance with EMIR, SFTR, and French derivatives regulation
- Manage legal risk for the Global Markets division across product classes
- Advise on netting and collateral enforceability under French law
Requirements
- Master 2 in Banking/Finance Law or equivalent (LLM from a UK/US university also accepted)
- 4-8 years experience in derivatives documentation at a bank or leading law firm
- Expert knowledge of ISDA documentation and derivatives regulation
- Understanding of EMIR clearing and margining requirements
- Bilingual French/English essential
