Position Overview
Job Description
Gleiss Lutz is seeking a motivated Rechtsanwalt to join our award-winning Employment Law team in Munich. You will advise leading German and international employers on all aspects of individual and collective employment law, including restructurings, works council negotiations, and executive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Advise on individual and collective employment law matters including dismissal protection, works council consultations, and transfer of undertakings
- Support restructurings and workforce reductions under German employment law
- Draft and review employment contracts, service agreements, and social plans
- Represent clients before German labor courts (Arbeitsgericht)
- Advise on executive compensation and board-level employment matters
- Provide employment law support for M&A transactions
Requirements
- Zweites Staatsexamen with at least 7.5 points (Praedikatsexamen preferred)
- 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in employment law
- Admitted as Rechtsanwalt in Germany
- Strong knowledge of BetrVG, KSchG, BGB employment provisions, and TzBfG
- Experience with works council negotiations and restructurings preferred
- Fluent in German and English
- Fachanwalt fuer Arbeitsrecht qualification or working toward it
