Job Description
Gilbert + Tobin is recruiting an Associate for its top-ranked Competition & Regulation team at International Towers, Barangaroo in Sydney. G+T's competition practice is consistently ranked Band 1 by Chambers — you will advise on ACCC merger clearances, cartel investigations, consumer law matters, and regulatory authorisations under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare merger clearance applications for the ACCC and Australian Competition Tribunal
- Advise on anti-competitive conduct, misuse of market power (s46), and exclusive dealing under the CCA
- Handle ACCC investigations and dawn raid responses
- Draft competition compliance programmes and training materials for major corporates
Requirements
- Admitted as a solicitor in NSW; 3-5 years PQE in competition, regulatory, or commercial
- Strong knowledge of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA)
- Experience with ACCC processes preferred
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills
