Senior Associate – Banking & Finance
Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL) is hiring a Senior Associate for its Banking & Finance practice at Centropolis B, Jongno-gu, Seoul. You will advise Korean and international financial institutions on structured finance, project finance, and debt capital markets transactions under the 자본시장법 (Capital Markets Act) and Banking Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and document syndicated loan facilities, project finance arrangements, and bond issuances for Korean issuers
- Advise on regulatory compliance with Financial Services Commission (FSC) and Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) requirements
- Draft security packages including pledges over shares, real estate mortgages, and account security under Korean Civil Code
- Lead teams on cross-border financing transactions coordinating with BKL's offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Beijing
- Provide regulatory analysis on fintech licensing and digital asset regulations
Requirements
- Korean 변호사 licence with 6-10 years of banking & finance experience
- Deep knowledge of the 자본시장법 (Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act)
- Experience advising on LBO financing, acquisition finance, or project finance
- Business-level English; LLM from a US or UK institution preferred
