Job Description
Assegaf Hamzah & Partners is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate & M&A practice in the SCBD financial district of Jakarta. You will advise on cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures under the UU Perseroan Terbatas (Company Law No. 40/2007), working with multinational clients across Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence processes for M&A transactions and draft share purchase agreements
- Advise clients on compliance with OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) regulations for listed companies
- Coordinate with the Rajah & Tann Asia network on cross-border deals
- Prepare regulatory filings with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham)
- Mentor junior advokats and manage deal teams
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised Indonesian university; LLM preferred
- Admitted as Advokat by PERADI (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia)
- 5-8 years post-qualification experience in corporate and M&A law
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Experience with OJK and BKPM (Investment Coordinating Board) filings
Responsibilities
Lead M&A due diligence, advise on OJK compliance, coordinate cross-border deals, prepare Kemenkumham filings, mentor juniors
Requirements
LLB from recognised university, PERADI admission, 5-8 years PQE in corporate/M&A, fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia
