Senior Associate — Restructuring & Insolvency

Clifford Chance's Madrid office is recruiting a Senior Associate for its market-leading Restructuring & Insolvency practice on Paseo de la Castellana in the AZCA business district. You will advise creditors, debtors, and investors on Spain's most complex restructuring situations under the reformed Ley Concursal (Texto Refundido, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2020), working alongside the firm's global restructuring network.

Responsabilidades Principales

• Advise on pre-insolvency mechanisms: acuerdos de refinanciación, planes de reestructuración, and homologaciones judiciales under the Ley Concursal
• Lead concurso de acreedores proceedings before the Juzgados de lo Mercantil de Madrid
• Advise distressed debt investors on NPL portfolio acquisitions and special servicing structures
• Coordinate cross-border insolvency proceedings under the EU Recast Insolvency Regulation
• Draft convenios de acreedores and liquidation plans

Requisitos

• Licenciado/Graduado en Derecho; LLM in restructuring or insolvency preferred
• Colegiado at ICAM; 5-8 years PQE in restructuring, insolvency, or banking
• Deep knowledge of the Ley Concursal (2020 Texto Refundido and 2022 reform)
• Experience with Juzgados de lo Mercantil proceedings
• Excellent English; second language (French, German) a plus
