Julius & Creasy, Sri Lanka's oldest law firm established in 1879, seeks a Senior Corporate Attorney-at-Law to join its acclaimed corporate and commercial practice at its Fort, Colombo 1 offices. This role sits at the heart of Sri Lanka's premier legal institution, advising the island's leading corporates, banks, and multinational investors.

The successful candidate will lead complex transactions governed by the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, advise on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. You will appear before the Commercial High Court and engage with the Registrar of Companies on regulatory filings. • Lead corporate advisory mandates including M&A, IPOs, and private equity transactions
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, and joint venture documentation
• Advise on regulatory compliance under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 and Colombo Stock Exchange listing rules
• Appear before the Commercial High Court, Court of Appeal, and arbitration tribunals
• Mentor junior Attorneys-at-Law and supervise apprentices completing their 6-month BASL apprenticeship
• Coordinate with the Registrar of Companies, BOI, and Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka

• Attorney-at-Law admitted by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) with current practising certificate
• Minimum 7 years' post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law
• Deep knowledge of the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, Securities and Exchange Commission Act, and BOI regulations
• Experience with cross-border transactions and foreign direct investment advisory
• Strong advocacy skills with appearances before the Commercial High Court and Court of Appeal
• LL.B. from a recognised Sri Lankan or international university; LL.M. preferred
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala; Tamil an advantage
