Senior Legal Counsel — Data Privacy & GDPR

Telefónica is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel for Data Privacy at Distrito C (Distrito Telefónica) in Las Tablas, northern Madrid. You will oversee GDPR and LOPD-GDD (Ley Orgánica 3/2018) compliance across Telefónica's Spanish consumer and enterprise businesses, managing a portfolio that touches millions of subscribers' personal data and working closely with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Responsabilidades Principales

• Lead GDPR and LOPD-GDD compliance across Telefónica Spain, Movistar, and digital service subsidiaries
• Manage interactions with the AEPD, respond to enforcement actions, and handle data subject rights requests at scale
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new products: 5G network services, IoT platforms, and Aura AI assistant
• Negotiate data processing agreements and international data transfer mechanisms (SCCs, BCRs)
• Advise on ePrivacy Regulation, cookie consent, and Spain's Ley General de Telecomunicaciones data retention obligations

Requisitos

• Licenciado/Graduado en Derecho
• Colegiado at ICAM; 6-9 years PQE in data privacy or telecom regulation
• CIPP/E certification preferred
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, LOPD-GDD, and AEPD enforcement practices
• Fluent English; experience with multi-country privacy programmes
