About KIND  Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is a global leader in the protection of unaccompanied and separated children who are forcibly displaced from their countries of origin. Launched in 2008, KIND champions a world in which every child’s rights and well-being are protected throughout their journey to safety.    Building on its extensive programming and successful model in the United States, KIND is expanding in the Americas and Europe to bring its experience to bear in working with unaccompanied and separated children. Our work focuses on addressing the legal and mental health needs of this population; building strong partnerships and engaging in training and capacity strengthening with governments, NGOs, and the private sector; and advocating for systemic and pragmatic reforms to advance the rights of unaccompanied and separated children. Position Summary KIND seeks a Technology Operations and Compliance Manager to  oversee the operational and strategic management of KIND’s IT environment, serving as a key partner to leadership across a 400+ person international organization.  This role will have hands-on technical oversight of infrastructure, security, and compliance programs and requires significant project management capability. Acting as a cross-functional bridge between Technology and Office Operations, the position ensures systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings broad technical experience, demonstrated adaptability, and the ability to manage complex initiatives while guiding cybersecurity response and continuous operational improvement. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-career IT professional with approximately five or more years of diverse experience who thrives as a flexible generalist and can pivot across complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. This is a remote position based from any location in the U.S.   This position is contingent upon continued funding.
