Corporate Law Internship — SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan
SyCip Salazar, the largest law firm in the Philippines, offers a structured legal internship program for law students seeking hands-on experience in corporate and commercial law. The internship is based at the firm's Makati CBD offices and provides exposure to real transactions and client work under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3 months (renewable for one additional term)
- Compensation: Paid internship with monthly stipend
- Schedule: Full-time during summer; part-time arrangements available during the academic year
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting corporate documents, board resolutions, and shareholders' agreements
- Conduct legal research on the Revised Corporation Code (RA 11232), SEC regulations, and corporate governance matters
- Prepare due diligence reports and assist in document review for M&A transactions
- Draft legal memoranda and case summaries under attorney supervision
- Attend client meetings and transaction closings as an observer
- Participate in the firm's intern training program including lectures by partners and senior associates

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. or LL.B. program at a recognized Philippine law school (3rd or 4th year preferred)
- Strong academic standing with a GPA in the top 20% of class
- Excellent English writing and research skills
- Interest in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, or securities regulation
- Law journal or moot court experience is an advantage
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months
