In-House Legal Internship — Yoma Strategic Holdings
Yoma Strategic Holdings offers a paid in-house legal internship at our FMI Centre headquarters in Yangon. This internship provides law students with rare exposure to in-house legal practice at one of Myanmar's largest and most diversified conglomerates, spanning real estate, automotive, financial services, and agriculture.
Interns will work alongside our General Counsel team on contract review, corporate governance matters, and regulatory compliance across the Yoma group of companies.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
- Type: Paid internship (MMK 300,000/month)
- Start: January, May, and September intakes
Responsibilities
- Review and summarize commercial contracts and agreements
- Assist with corporate governance documentation and board minutes
- Research regulatory requirements across multiple sectors
- Support DICA compliance filings and annual returns
- Help maintain the company's contract management database
- Attend internal legal department meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- LL.B. student (3rd year or above) or recent graduate
- Interest in corporate law and in-house legal practice
- Strong academic record from a recognized university
- Excellent Myanmar and English language skills
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in multiple industry sectors
