Internship Description
The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Kenya is offering a student attachment opportunity in its Legal Affairs and Corporation Secretary department. This is an excellent opportunity for law students to gain exposure to securities regulation, capital markets law, and financial regulation in a government regulatory body. Successful candidates will support the legal team with research, documentation, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Support the Legal Affairs department with legal research and analysis. Assist in drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and correspondence. Participate in regulatory review processes and compliance assessments. Assist with corporation secretarial duties including Board meeting preparation. Support document management and filing of legal records.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university. Must have completed at least the third year of study. Strong interest in capital markets, securities law, and financial regulation. Good academic record. Proficiency in computer applications.
