Legal Intern — Technology Law — Grab Malaysia
Grab Malaysia is offering a legal internship in its in-house legal team at Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. The internship provides hands-on exposure to technology law, data privacy, and commercial contracting at Southeast Asia's leading superapp. This is ideal for law students interested in the intersection of technology and law.
What You Will Do
- Assist the legal team with contract review, redlining, and commercial agreement management
- Research data privacy issues under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and emerging Malaysian digital regulations
- Support the team on regulatory matters relating to ride-hailing, e-commerce, and fintech
- Help maintain the contract management system and template library
- Prepare legal research memoranda on technology law, competition law, and consumer protection
- Participate in team meetings and Grab's intern programme activities
Duration
3-6 months (flexible). Paid internship with competitive allowance, free GrabFood credits, and exposure to a fast-paced tech startup legal environment.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an LL.B. programme at a recognised university (penultimate or final year preferred)
- Interest in technology law, data privacy, or commercial law
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Tech-savvy with strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Malaysian citizen or permanent resident
- Available for a minimum 3-month internship
