About the Internship
Arab Bank s Group Legal and Compliance Division in Amman is offering a paid legal internship for law graduates interested in banking law and regulatory compliance. This 3-month programme provides practical exposure to in-house legal work at one of the Arab world s largest banking institutions.
What You Will Learn
- Assist the in-house legal team with reviewing banking contracts, loan documentation, and guarantee instruments
- Support the compliance team with regulatory research on Central Bank of Jordan circulars, AML regulations, and data protection requirements
- Help prepare legal opinions on new banking products and services
- Review and update standard form contracts and template documentation
- Attend meetings with external counsel and observe the management of outside legal matters
- Participate in compliance training sessions and learn about the bank s regulatory reporting obligations
Eligibility
- LLB graduate from a recognised Jordanian university within the last 12 months
- Interest in banking law, financial regulation, or corporate compliance
- Good academic record with strong performance in commercial and banking law modules
- Proficiency in Arabic and English with good written communication skills
- Duration: 3 months, full-time
- Compensation: Paid internship with monthly stipend of JOD 350-450
- Outstanding interns may be considered for permanent positions in the legal department
