Legal Internship – Group Legal
UBS Group AG at Paradeplatz in Zurich offers a Legal Internship within its Group Legal function. This is a unique opportunity to gain in-house legal experience at the world's largest wealth manager.
Programme Details
- Type: Corporate Legal Internship (Rechtspraktikum)
- Duration: 6-month internship
- Start Date: Rolling — applications accepted for Q3 2026 and Q1 2027 start dates
- Eligibility: Final-year MLaw students or recent MLaw graduates from a Swiss university
What You Will Do
- Support in-house lawyers on banking regulatory matters and FINMA compliance
- Research legal questions relating to wealth management products and services
- Draft internal legal opinions and policy documents
- Assist with contract review and negotiation
- Gain exposure to multiple legal practice areas within a global financial institution
Responsibilities
- Provide research and drafting support to in-house legal teams
- Assist with regulatory compliance projects
- Support contract management and review
- Attend internal legal meetings and training sessions
- Contribute to legal department projects and initiatives
Requirements
- MLaw student (final year) or recent MLaw graduate from a Swiss university
- Strong academic record
- Interest in banking, financial regulation, or corporate law
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Prior legal experience (clerkship, law firm) is a plus
