Internship Description
The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) offers a paid 3-month Policy and Legal Research Internship at the Bahrain Financial Harbour in Manama. You will support research on Bahrain's investment climate, regulatory reform, and international trade agreements.
Programme Details
- Duration: 3 months
- Stipend: BHD 250-400 per month
- Start: Rolling applications
- Eligibility: Final-year LLB students or recent graduates with interest in economic policy and investment law
What You Will Learn
- Research bilateral investment treaties and free trade agreements
- Analyse Bahrain's regulatory competitiveness against GCC peers
- Draft policy briefs on foreign investment law developments
- Attend investor meetings and economic forums as part of the EDB team
Responsibilities
- Prepare research papers on investment policy topics
- Support the legal team with regulatory benchmarking reports
- Assist with organising investor briefings and events
- Maintain the EDB's database of investment regulations
Requirements
- LLB student (final year) or recent graduate; LLM candidates welcome
- Bilingual in Arabic and English
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Interest in investment law, trade law, or economic policy
- Knowledge of the GCC economic integration framework an advantage
