Practicante — Prácticas Profesionales en Legal Corporativo (Bogotá)

Ecopetrol offers a 6-month Prácticas Profesionales placement in the Corporate Legal department for final-year Derecho students completing their Judicatura. The programme provides exposure to the legal operations of Colombia's largest company, covering energy contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and government affairs.

Practicantes work directly with Ecopetrol's in-house legal team on real matters, attend board and committee meetings, and gain unique insight into the intersection of public and private law in Colombia's petroleum sector. Ecopetrol offers one of the most competitive stipends for practicantes in the Colombian market.

• Assisting with contract review and management for Ecopetrol's corporate legal matters
• Conducting research on energy regulation, ANH directives, and Ministerio de Minas policies
• Supporting corporate governance activities including board minutes and shareholder communications
• Reviewing and updating internal legal policies and compliance procedures
• Participating in cross-functional legal projects across Ecopetrol's business units

• Final-year Derecho student or recent graduate completing Judicatura
• Strong academic record from a recognised Colombian law faculty
• Interest in energy law, corporate law, or government affairs
• Knowledge of the Código de Comercio and administrative law fundamentals
• English proficiency at B2+ level
