Position Overview
Internship Description
Hengeler Mueller offers Referendariat positions (Anwaltsstation) in our Corporate/M&A practice in Frankfurt. As a Referendar, you will gain first-hand experience in one of Germany's top M&A practices, working alongside leading corporate lawyers on landmark transactions while completing your legal training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ongoing M&A transactions including due diligence and document drafting
- Prepare legal memoranda and research notes on corporate law questions
- Attend client meetings and transaction closings
- Support the team with regulatory filings and corporate housekeeping
- Draft summaries of transaction documents and board resolutions
Requirements
- Erstes Staatsexamen with Praedikatsexamen (minimum 9 points)
- Currently in Referendariat (Rechtsreferendar/in)
- Anwaltsstation or Wahlstation placement
- Strong interest in corporate and M&A law
- Good knowledge of AktG, GmbHG, and corporate law fundamentals
- Fluent in German and English
- Duration: 3 months (Anwaltsstation) or flexible (Wahlstation)
Note: Referendare receive their state salary (Unterhaltsbeihilfe). Hengeler Mueller provides an additional monthly top-up allowance.
