Abogado — Atención al Usuario Financiero

The Superintendencia de Bancos seeks a Lawyer for its Financial Consumer Protection Unit (Dirección de Atención y Educación al Usuario Financiero) in the Guayaquil regional office. The unit handles complaints from financial service users and enforces consumer protection regulations in the banking sector.

The Guayaquil office serves consumers across the Litoral and Costa regions, processing a high volume of claims against banks, insurance companies, and financial cooperatives.

• Processing and investigating consumer complaints against financial institutions
• Issuing administrative resolutions on financial consumer disputes
• Conducting inspections of financial institutions for consumer protection compliance
• Preparing statistical reports on complaint trends and consumer protection issues
• Participating in financial literacy campaigns in the Litoral region

• Título de Abogado from a recognised Ecuadorian university
• 1-3 years of experience in consumer protection, financial regulation, or administrative law
• Knowledge of the Código Orgánico Monetario y Financiero consumer protection provisions
• Strong communication skills for interacting with financial consumers
• Experience with administrative proceedings preferred
• Based in Guayaquil
