Position Overview
Job Description
Danziger & Partners seeks an Agricultural Law Associate for the Gweru headquarters. Zimbabwe's agricultural sector is undergoing significant legal changes with land audit requirements and new farming models. You will advise commercial farmers, agribusinesses, and agricultural cooperatives on land tenure, contract farming, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on land tenure rights, 99-year leases, and land audit compliance
- Draft contract farming agreements and agricultural joint ventures
- Handle agricultural land disputes and compensation claims
- Advise on export permits, TIMB regulations, and crop marketing requirements
- Support clients on environmental compliance for farming operations
Requirements
- LLB degree, valid practising certificate
- 2-4 years experience in agricultural, land, or environmental law
- Understanding of Zimbabwe's land reform framework and agricultural regulations
- Willingness to travel to rural farming areas in the Midlands
