Position Overview
Job Description
Danziger & Partners, a leading multi-city firm headquartered in Gweru since 1915, is looking for a Banking and Finance Legal Adviser. You will advise our portfolio of six commercial banks and three building societies on regulatory matters, including ZiG currency compliance, Reserve Bank directives, and fintech regulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise banking clients on regulatory compliance with the Banking Act and RBZ directives
- Draft and review loan agreements, security instruments, and guarantee documents
- Advise on multicurrency system compliance and ZiG transition requirements
- Handle debt recovery and insolvency matters for financial institution clients
- Advise on fintech and mobile money regulatory frameworks
Requirements
- LLB degree, registered with the Law Society of Zimbabwe
- 5+ years experience in banking, finance, or commercial law
- Knowledge of the Banking Act, Reserve Bank regulations, and Exchange Control Act
- Experience with debt instruments and security documentation
