Banking and Finance Associate — Kelvin Chia Partnership Myanmar

Join our Banking and Finance practice in Yangon to advise local and international financial institutions on lending transactions, project finance, and regulatory compliance under the Financial Institutions Law 2016. You will work on secured lending transactions, syndicated loan documentation, and Central Bank of Myanmar regulatory filings.

This position involves drafting loan agreements, security documents including mortgages under the Transfer of Property Act, and advising on microfinance regulations under the Microfinance Business Law 2011. You will also assist with fintech regulatory matters and mobile financial services licensing.

• Draft and review loan agreements, facility letters, and security documentation
• Advise on Central Bank of Myanmar regulatory requirements for financial institutions
• Assist with microfinance and mobile banking licensing applications
• Conduct legal due diligence on borrowers and security assets
• Support senior partners on project finance and syndicated lending transactions
• Monitor regulatory developments in Myanmar's financial sector

• LL.B. from a recognized Myanmar university
• 2-4 years of banking and finance legal experience
• Knowledge of the Financial Institutions Law 2016 and CBM directives
• Understanding of secured lending and mortgage documentation
• Proficiency in Myanmar and English
• Attention to detail in document drafting and review
