Job Description
The Legal Circle, the exclusive Lex Mundi member firm for Bangladesh, is seeking an Associate for its Energy & Power practice. The role involves advising on power purchase agreements, energy project development, and regulatory matters in Bangladesh's growing energy sector.
Responsibilities
Advise on power purchase agreements (PPAs) and implementation agreements. Support project finance transactions in the energy sector. Handle regulatory filings with Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC). Draft and review EPC contracts and O&M agreements. Conduct due diligence on energy projects and licenses.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university. Enrolled as Advocate with Bangladesh Bar Council. 2-4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Act and power sector regulations. Strong English skills required.
