Job Description

Area of Consideration Group 3- All groups of Federal re-employable eligibles. GENERAL EXPERIENCE is a minimum of two (2) years of professional legal experience following bar admission. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE - Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as professional legal experience that involves: Independent Analysis: Performing complex legal research and analysis on high-stakes or sensitive issues with minimal supervision. Advisory Functions: Providing authoritative legal advice and guidance to management or senior officials regarding statutes, regulations, and policies. Document Drafting: Drafting or reviewing complex legal documents, such as litigation briefs, formal legal opinions, or proposed legislation/regulations. Representation: Representing the agency's interests in negotiations, administrative hearings, or meetings with outside counsel and stakeholders.
