Job Description
Hali Compliance Group is hiring a Commercial Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its dispute resolution team in Nairobi. The role involves handling commercial disputes, preparing court pleadings, conducting legal research, and representing clients in commercial courts and tribunals. The firm handles a wide range of commercial matters including contract disputes, debt recovery, and regulatory enforcement actions.
Responsibilities
Handle commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution. Draft court pleadings, legal opinions, and submissions. Represent clients in commercial courts, arbitration tribunals, and other dispute resolution forums. Conduct legal research and provide advice on commercial disputes. Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications.
Requirements
LLB degree and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 2-3 years post-qualification experience in commercial litigation. Strong litigation skills including drafting pleadings, legal research, and court advocacy. Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and commercial dispute resolution mechanisms. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
