Job Description
Competition Law Analyst — Vietnam Competition and Consumer Authority, Hanoi
The VCCA is hiring a Competition Law Analyst to support its investigations into anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominant positions, and economic concentration (mergers). You will work under the Competition Law 2018 and contribute to building Vietnam's competition enforcement capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer or economist to gain hands-on experience in competition law enforcement at Vietnam's primary competition authority.
Responsibilities
- Assist in investigating complaints of anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominance
- Analyse merger notification filings and assess competitive impact
- Conduct market studies and prepare sector analysis reports
- Support the preparation of investigation files and recommendations to the Competition Commission
- Research international competition law developments and best practices
- Assist in organising advocacy events and stakeholder consultations
Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience in competition law, economics, or regulatory affairs
- Knowledge of the Competition Law 2018 and Decree 35/2020/ND-CP on competition enforcement
- Understanding of merger control thresholds and notification procedures
- Analytical skills and experience with economic or market analysis

- Fluent Vietnamese; good English for international cooperation work
