Why we're hiring:
We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Group Compliance Lead to oversee and manage the end-to-end governance process for our data platforms, systems, and products. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including the execution of monthly SOX checks. The ideal candidate will collaborate across multiple teams, including risk, controls, and security, to enhance processes, drive compliance, and maintain governance standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the enterprise data governance process, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct and manage monthly SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance checks across all data platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, security, and control teams, to evaluate compliance and implement necessary improvements.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks related to data governance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Work closely with internal audit and external regulators to provide necessary documentation and support for audits and reviews.
- Lead initiatives to improve data governance, security, and compliance practices across the enterprise.
- Stay up to date on evolving regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to data governance and compliance.
- Ensure all platforms, systems, and products are evaluated regularly for compliance with data governance and risk management policies.
- Provide training and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance across teams.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Risk Management, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, data governance, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, data governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
- Experience working with enterprise data systems, platforms, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive governance initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate teams on compliance matters.
- Experience with compliance tools, audit processes, and regulatory reporting is a plus.
- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or CISSP are desirable.
