Job Description
Contract Manager — Procurement, Sonatrach
Sonatrach is seeking a Contract Manager to join its Procurement Legal Unit, managing the company's extensive portfolio of procurement contracts for goods, services, and works across Algeria's energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the drafting, negotiation, and execution of procurement contracts in compliance with Algeria's public procurement regulations (Décret présidentiel n°15-247 relatif aux marchés publics)
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with Sonatrach's internal procedures and Algerian public procurement law
- Handle contract claims, variations, and dispute resolution for active contracts
- Coordinate with technical departments, finance, and external suppliers on contractual matters
- Manage vendor pre-qualification and tender evaluation processes from a legal perspective
- Track contract milestones, deliverables, and payment schedules

Requirements
Master's degree in Law, preferably in Business Law or Public Procurement. 3-5 years' experience in contract management, procurement law, or in-house legal. Knowledge of Algeria's public procurement regulations (marchés publics). Experience with FIDIC or NEC contract forms. Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills. Fluency in Arabic and French; English is an advantage. Proficiency in contract management software and ERP systems. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
