Job Description

Coghlan & Welsh, Bulawayo's official conveyancer for over a century, is seeking a Senior Conveyancing and Property Legal Practitioner. You will handle property transfers, mortgage registrations, subdivision applications, and advise on land tenure and reform matters specific to Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage conveyancing transactions including transfers, bonds, and cessions
  • Advise clients on property law, land tenure, and zoning regulations
  • Liaise with the Deeds Registry on registrations and lodgements
  • Handle subdivision and consolidation applications
  • Advise on agricultural land reform compliance

Requirements

  • LLB degree and valid practising certificate
  • 5+ years conveyancing experience in Zimbabwe
  • Notary Public qualification preferred
  • Deep knowledge of Zimbabwe's Deeds Registries Act and land reform legislation
