Job Description
The Affordable Housing Board (AHB) is seeking a Corporation Secretary and General Manager of Legal Services. This is a senior leadership role guiding Board members on governance duties, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing secretarial support to the Board of Directors, organizing board activities, drafting legal opinions, and authenticating corporate documents for loan collateral purposes. Grade AHB 2.
Responsibilities
Guide Board members on corporate governance duties and obligations. Ensure regulatory compliance across all Board operations. Provide secretarial support to the Board of Directors. Organize and coordinate Board meetings and activities. Draft legal opinions and authenticate corporate documents. Manage the Legal Services department and oversee all legal functions. Advise on constitutional and statutory compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Master's degree in Law (LLM), Social Sciences, or Business Administration. Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. Certified Public Secretary (ICPS(K)) membership in good standing. 15 years total work experience. 10 years as a Certified Public Secretary. 5 years in senior management. Leadership course of at least 4 weeks. Must meet Chapter Six requirements.
