Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Counsel — Check Point Software Technologies, Tel Aviv
Check Point Software Technologies, Israel's global cybersecurity leader, is seeking a Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Counsel to join its legal team at the Azrieli Sarona Tower in Tel Aviv. This role sits at the intersection of technology law and cybersecurity policy, offering unmatched exposure to data protection issues across 100+ jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on global data privacy compliance across jurisdictions including Israel's Privacy Protection Authority (PPLA) regulations, EU GDPR, US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA), and emerging frameworks
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, SCC transfers, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms
- Manage data breach response procedures and coordinate with the Privacy Protection Authority on mandatory notifications
- Advise R&D and product teams on privacy-by-design principles for cybersecurity products
- Handle government and defense sector contracts requiring compliance with Israeli security classification requirements
- Support patent portfolio strategy and IP licensing for Check Point's cybersecurity technology
- Monitor global cybersecurity legislation developments and advise on compliance implications

Requirements
- Israel Bar Association membership preferred; CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification is an advantage
- 4-7 years of data privacy and technology law experience, either in-house or at a law firm
- Strong knowledge of Israel's Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981 and Privacy Protection Authority regulations
- Familiarity with EU GDPR, US privacy frameworks, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms
- LLB from a recognized Israeli university; LLM in technology law, IP, or data privacy preferred
- Fluent Hebrew and English; additional languages are a plus
- Understanding of cybersecurity technology and the ability to translate technical concepts into legal advice
