Data Privacy Officer — Ayala Corporation

Ayala Corporation, one of the Philippines' oldest and most respected conglomerates, is seeking a Data Privacy Officer (DPO) for its corporate headquarters in Makati City's Ayala Triangle. The DPO will oversee data protection compliance across Ayala's subsidiaries including Ayala Land, BPI, Globe Telecom, and Manila Water, ensuring full compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Data Privacy Officer registered with the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
• Develop and implement data protection policies, privacy impact assessments, and breach management protocols across Ayala Group companies
• Ensure compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations
• Manage data subject access requests, consent mechanisms, and data sharing agreements
• Conduct privacy audits and training programs for employees across the conglomerate
• Liaise with the National Privacy Commission on compliance matters and breach notifications
• Advise on cross-border data transfers and international data protection standards (GDPR, APEC CBPR)

• Admitted to the Philippine Bar or certified data privacy professional (CIPM, CIPP/A)
• 5-8 years of experience in data privacy, technology law, or regulatory compliance
• Expert knowledge of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and NPC Circulars
• Experience as a registered DPO with the National Privacy Commission
• Understanding of GDPR and international data protection frameworks
• J.D. or LL.B. from a recognized Philippine law school; technology or information security certifications are a plus
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
