Employment Law Junior Associate — VILAF, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

VILAF is looking for a Junior Associate to join its growing Employment Law practice in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. You will advise multinational employers on labour compliance, employment contracts, and workforce restructurings under the Labour Code 2019.

Vietnam's rapidly expanding manufacturing and tech sectors have created strong demand for employment law expertise. This role provides an outstanding foundation for a career in one of Vietnam's most in-demand practice areas.

• Draft and review employment contracts, internal labour regulations, and company policies
• Advise on redundancy procedures, disciplinary actions, and termination of employment
• Research and prepare client memoranda on labour law compliance issues
• Support due diligence on employment matters in M&A transactions
• Assist with applications to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs
• Monitor legislative developments and contribute to client alerts

• 1-3 years' PQE in employment/labour law or recently completed Tập sự programme
• Knowledge of the Labour Code 2019, Law on Social Insurance 2024, and Law on Trade Unions 2024
• Understanding of mandatory social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance obligations
• Cử nhân Luật from a recognised university
• Fluent Vietnamese and English
• Attention to detail and strong research skills
