Job Description

EY Law - Corporate & Commercial Lawyer — Baghdad

EY is hiring a corporate and commercial lawyer for its EY Law practice in Baghdad. The role advises clients on corporate and commercial matters, supports technically complex legal advisory projects, and helps build client relationships across the EY network.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technically complex corporate and commercial law projects
  • Advise clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial legal questions
  • Build and maintain internal and external client relationships
  • Support leads and opportunities across EY Law and the wider EY network
  • Contribute to training, precedents, know-how, presentations, events, and expert content

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in a reputable legal practice environment
  • Good technical knowledge of corporate and commercial law topics
  • Strong client relationship-building, strategic awareness, and commercial judgment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, self-management, and project-management skills, including Arabic
  • Experience in corporate transactions, energy, or oil and gas is useful
