Job Description

M-KOPA, the leading pay-as-you-go platform in Africa, seeks a legal counsel to navigate Kenya's evolving fintech regulations. You will advise on CBK licensing, mobile money partnerships, consumer protection, and cross-border expansion into Uganda, Tanzania, and Nigeria.

Responsibilities

Advise on regulatory compliance with CBK and CMA requirements. Draft partnership agreements with telcos and financial institutions. Handle data protection compliance under Kenya DPA 2019. Support product launches and new market entry legal frameworks.

Requirements

LLB degree. 3-5 years experience in fintech, banking, or technology law. Knowledge of CBK fintech regulations and the National Payment System Act.
