Job Description
Qualifications
- US, EU, or UK qualified lawyer in good standing in their jurisdiction
- 5+ years of regulatory experience
- Significant in-house or law firm experience advising on privacy, data protection or other government investigations and regulatory matters
- Experience engaging with regulators and data protection authorities
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
- Interacting and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external clients and/or colleagues;
- Appropriately handling and managing confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information and access to information technology systems; and

- The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $140000 - $240000 annually
- Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location
- Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units

Responsibilities
- Managing regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement actions related to privacy, data protection, and related topics in the US and globally
- Handling all phases of a regulatory matter, including fact gathering and development, document review, witness preparation, preparing narrative responses, and engaging with regulators
- Proactively developing strategies to address regulatory risk and strengthen the company's regulatory position, including working with cross-functional stakeholders to come up with effective, creative solutions
- Working collaboratively with litigation, public policy, communications, and other teams on data privacy issues and initiatives
- Advising on incident response notifications

$140,000 - $240,000/year
