Job Description
FirstRand Limited seeks a Group Legal Counsel for Regulatory and Compliance matters in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role involves advising the group on financial services regulation, Conduct of Financial Institutions (CoFI) Bill, Twin Peaks regulatory framework, and prudential compliance. You will manage regulatory relationships with the FSCA and Prudential Authority and provide legal opinions on complex regulatory matters.

Requirements
Admitted attorney with 6-10 years PQE in financial services regulation or banking law. LLB required, LLM preferred. Deep knowledge of FAIS, Financial Sector Regulation Act, NCA, and conduct standards. Experience engaging with FSCA, Prudential Authority, or National Treasury. Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
