Job Description
Grameenphone, Bangladesh's largest telecom operator and subsidiary of Telenor, is seeking a Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs to lead its legal function. The role involves managing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the company.
Responsibilities
Lead the legal department and manage a team of in-house lawyers. Advise the CEO and Board on all legal and regulatory matters. Manage regulatory relationships with BTRC and other government bodies. Oversee litigation portfolio and external counsel management. Ensure compliance with telecom regulations, data protection laws, and corporate governance standards.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university (LLM or MBA preferred). Enrolled as Advocate. 10+ years of legal experience with at least 5 years in telecom or technology sector. Experience with BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) matters. Strong leadership and management skills.
