Position Overview
Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The position will report to the Manager, Compliance & Ethics EMEA. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for: conducting reviews related to the Marketing, Sales, Training, and Clinical activities, development, execution and corrective actions, and for ensuring disciplinary actions are issued, documented, tracked and inputted into the Department dashboard that can be presented to the Department leaders, Compliance Committee and Senior Management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
REVIEW SUBMISSIONS
- The Compliance Specialist will work with internal customers and will review submissions sent to the Compliance Department. The Compliance Specialist ensures all departments are complying with Medtech rules and EMEA regulations.
TRAINING
- The Compliance Specialist provides training to internal stakeholders, explains the compliance requirements, processes, policies, and systems being used by the Department.
MONITORING
- The Compliance Specialist will conduct monitoring activities, including process reviews, testing to ensure adherence to Intuitive policies and local regulations.
- The Compliance Specialist will identify potential compliance risks and contribute to the development of corrective action plans.
INVESTIGATION, DISCIPLINARY AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
- The Compliance Specialist will conduct compliance investigations.
- The Compliance Specialist will promptly respond to detected problems and implement corrective actions.
- The Compliance Specialist will ensure standards are enforced through disciplinary actions.
DATA ANALYTICS
- The Compliance Specialist aggregates the information captured on monitoring, auditing and disciplinary and corrective actions, and creates dashboards that will support the Legal and Compliance team on determining necessary next steps.
- Propose and create different reports based on issues and analysis of cases discovered during monitoring, auditing and disciplinary actions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or legal related role within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Compliance regulations and MedTech regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Law, Accounting, Compliance, Health Sciences). Advanced degree preferred.
- Certification in compliance (e.g., CCEP, CHC) is a plus.

business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.
Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
