Job Description
In-House Aviation Counsel - Ryanair
Ryanair is seeking an In-House Aviation Counsel to join the legal department at our headquarters near Dublin Airport. You will advise on aviation regulation, EU consumer protection law, competition law, and commercial contracts across Ryanair's operations in over 40 countries.
This is a fast-paced role in Europe's largest airline group, handling a diverse range of legal matters from regulatory compliance to high-value commercial negotiations. You will work directly with senior management on strategic legal issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on EU aviation regulations and air passenger rights (EC 261/2004)
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including airport agreements
- Advise on competition law including EU and CMA investigations
- Handle EU consumer protection law compliance
- Support employment law matters across multiple European jurisdictions
- Manage external counsel relationships across Europe

Requirements
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister admitted in Ireland
- 3-6 years PQE in commercial, aviation, or regulatory law
- Knowledge of EU aviation regulation and consumer protection law
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Ability to work at pace in a dynamic commercial environment
- European language skills are an advantage
