About The RoleDoorDash is hiring an exceptional Litigation Paralegal to oversee our personal injury litigation docket at an exciting time for our rapidly growing business. You will be a part of the Legal team’s Insurance Litigation group and responsible for owning an important docket of litigation. You will work closely with other in-house counsel and paralegals and serve as a key cross-functional partner for our claims and safety teams.
The role will be based in either the Greater Chicago area, San Francisco area, or Tempe, AZ and will be expected to work from DoorDash’s Chicago office on a hybrid schedule.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…- Be responsible for owning and maintaining the integrity of DoorDash’s personal injury litigation docket, from case inception to completion
- Manage a team of paralegals who also oversee the personal injury docket
- Assist with retrieving documents via service of process and distributing them to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
- Support an integral part of the discovery process, including but not limited to, issuing legal holds, responding to subpoenas, and organizing case files
- Improve workflows that directly impact DoorDash’s quarterly financial reporting requirements
- Partner with our in-house legal team, outside counsel, insurance carriers, and cross-functional teams across the company
- You’re self-motivated, thrive working autonomously, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent organization skills and excel at prioritizing multiple tasks at once, following through, and meeting important deadlines
- You maintain a positive attitude and have a high EQ. No job is too big or too small!

- You have 5+ years of experience managing a large docket of cases at a top law firm or in-house legal department, or similar experience
- You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
