International Arbitration Counsel
Abuhimed Alsheaibi Alhoshan (AAA Law), in association with Dentons, is seeking an experienced International Arbitration Counsel for our Riyadh headquarters. This senior role involves managing complex commercial and investment arbitrations under SCCA, ICC, LCIA, and ICSID rules.
Role Overview
Saudi Arabia has rapidly developed its arbitration infrastructure, with the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) now established as a leading regional institution. The Kingdom's accession to the New York Convention and the enactment of the Saudi Arbitration Law have created a robust framework for international dispute resolution. You will handle high-value disputes arising from construction, energy, joint ventures, and cross-border commercial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead international arbitration proceedings under SCCA, ICC, LCIA, and ICSID rules
- Draft statements of claim, defenses, witness statements, and legal submissions
- Manage document production, expert evidence, and oral advocacy at arbitral hearings
- Advise on enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Saudi Arabia under the New York Convention
- Handle commercial disputes before the Board of Grievances and Commercial Courts
- Advise on bilateral investment treaties (BITs) and investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS)

Requirements
- LLB/JD from a top-tier university; LLM in international arbitration or dispute resolution preferred
- 8-12 years of international arbitration experience
- Demonstrated experience as lead counsel in ICC, LCIA, SCCA, or ICSID proceedings
- Knowledge of Saudi Arbitration Law and enforcement procedures
- Arabic language skills strongly preferred; English fluency required
- Admission to the bar of at least one jurisdiction
