Internship in Modeling and Simulation of Heat Pump Systems
Position Overview
Job Description
- Become part of our motivated, international team and contribute to the development of innovative heat pumps — one of the key components of the energy transition.
- You will lay the foundation for efficient and successful development by supporting the modeling of digital twins of our products.
- Additionally, you will develop test procedures in a virtual test environment for heat pump systems to ensure compliance with device requirements. From interpreting test results, you will derive improvement suggestions and contribute to their implementation.
- Finally, you will collaborate with related areas such as laboratory, design, software development, central research, and our development sites in Sweden, Portugal, and Bulgaria.
- Education: studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Environmental Technology, Process Engineering or comparable with good grades
- Experience and Knowledge: excellent knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics; strong skills in modeling and simulation; experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Dymola/Modelica; preferably prior knowledge in building technology
- Personality and Working Practice: you work independently and take responsibility by tackling complex tasks on your own while keeping an overview; at the same time, you are team-oriented and structured, collaborating well with others and planning and executing your work carefully
- Work Routine: office attendance required
- Enthusiasm: for working in an international team
- Languages: fluent in English and very good in German
Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
