Job Description

Junior Compliance Controller oversees handling day-to-day operations related to the compliance with Group’s Finance and Legal Policies and Procedures. This challenging position requires good oversight, a range of organizational skills and knowledge of procedures and internal regulations. You will have an integral role in keeping our international operations running smoothly.

Purpose of the Role:

Ensure adherence to the company’s Spending and Contracting Authority Policy by monitoring approval limits, managing deviation requests, and supporting leaders in compliance with internal governance standards.

The main responsibilities:

  • Communicating policy changes and ensuring understanding across all levels
  • Tracking spending & contracting activities to ensure compliance with established authority limits
  • Identifying transactions exceeding delegated limits and reporting to the relevant decision-makers
  • Coordinating deviation approval process, including documentation review, justification review, and escalation to appropriate leadership levels
  • Maintaining records of all deviations for audit and reporting purposes
  • Advising leaders on compliance requirements and best practices
  • Collaborating with Legal, Finance, Controlling, and Procurement teams to mitigate risks related to non-compliance
  • Preparing periodic reports on policy adherence and deviations for senior management

Other Assignments:

  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member within demanding and international environment
  • Offering alternative solutions when a request cannot be fulfilled or can be fulfilled more efficiently
  • Utilizing appropriate technology to complete various responsibilities and high volume of documents
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects when necessary

Essential qualifications:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of legal principles and practices
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint;
