Junior Employment Lawyer — Esin Attorney Partnership (Baker McKenzie), Istanbul
Esin Attorney Partnership is seeking a Junior Employment Lawyer to join its growing employment practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified avukat who has completed their staj to build a career in employment law at a top-tier firm with global reach through Baker McKenzie.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with employment law advisory for multinational clients on Turkish Labor Law No. 4857
- Draft employment contracts, workplace policies, and termination documentation
- Research legal questions on severance pay (kidem tazminati), notice periods, and discrimination
- Assist with work permit applications for expatriate employees under International Labor Law No. 6735
- Support senior associates on mandatory mediation (arabuluculuk) and labor court proceedings
- Prepare employment due diligence reports for M&A transactions
- Monitor legislative developments in Turkish labor and employment law

Requirements
- Active avukat license (recently qualified accepted); completed staj at a reputable firm or institution
- 0-2 years of post-qualification experience
- LLB from a leading Turkish law faculty (Istanbul University, Galatasaray, Ankara, Bilkent, Koc, or equivalent)
- Interest in employment law and labor relations
- Fluent Turkish and strong English skills
- Detail-oriented with strong research and writing abilities
